Data Centers and Network Backbone

We operate two data centers in New Jersey with redundant/backup servers in data centers in Chicago and California. We regularly test our infrastructure to perform as designed in the event of an emergency and we back it all up with our 100% Power SLA and 100% Network Uptime SLA.

Data CentersOur network backbone provides highly scalable, highly available Internet Access. Built on carrier-grade equipment from Juniper Networks and Cisco systems, our backbone allows us to ensure high-availability, low-latency, packet filtering and quality of service (QOA) without sacrificing performance.

Our datacenters are connected to dark fiber with ten GigE circuits currently lit in addition to being connected on-net with Verizon, Verizon Business, Lightpath, Level3, Abovenet and other carriers. We maintain direct peering relationships with many carriers, ISPs, academic institutions, content providers and government agencies to keep data speeding to its final destination. By connecting to other networks in many carrier hotels, our backbone is multi-route, multi-homed with no single point of failure and can be rapidly scaled to meet growing bandwidth demands.

Serious About Security

We take security very seriously. Our data centers are guarded and can only be accessed by authorized CMS/Tier1 personnel. Monitored closed circuit televisions and 24 x 7 x 365 onsite security teams vigilantly protect our data centers, while military grade card access and biometric finger-scan and facial recognition systems are in place to provide even further security.

Our data centers utilize pre-action dry pipe sprinkler systems with clean agent fire extinguishers.

We don’t just rely on the local power grid to guarantee around-the-clock power as some providers. Our state-of-the-art flagship Cedar Knolls data center features Always-On uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and redundant on-site diesel generators and true diverse power systems (commonly known as 1+1 or A and B power) ensure that your server always stays on.

Our heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) systems have full particle filtering and humidity control. Redundant dry coolers and hot aisle / cold aisle configuration ensure proper cooling at all times. This ensures your mission-critical hardware is always functioning at its best.

The data centers and NOC are manned 24 x 7 x 365 by engineers that continuously monitor the entire network and physical infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve any issue, in most cases within minutes.

Our Cedar Knolls data center undergoes SAS 70 Type II auditing every year. This means we have undertaken an independent in-depth audit of our control objectives and activities, including controls over information technology and related processes.
